Inland Revenue Departmental Accounts for the year ended 31 March 2005 (PDF 732K)
These are the 2004-05 Accounts of the ex-Inland Revenue Department. They include the Resource Accounts, the Trust Statement and the Standard Report of the Comptroller and Auditor General. This is the last year these accounts and those of the ex-HM Customs and Excise Department will be published separately.

Inland Revenue Annual Report 2001/2002 Correction (PDF 994K)
In the table of criminal proceedings on page 115 of the report the Internal Fraud heading applies only to the two categories immediately below the heading ie. internal staff and outside accomplices and not to the Failure to notify chargeability, MISC and WFTC categories below that. We very much regret any confusion caused.

Page 20, Telephones key results table: the target and result for the % of calls answered at the switchboard within 20 seconds in local offices should read "target 90% and result 91.8%, not 80% and 83% respectively as shown. We very much regret this error.

Inland Revenue Annual Report 2000/2001 Correction (PDF 902K)
The Revenue estate was transferred to Mapeley STEPS Ltd which is registered in Bermuda rather than Mapeley STEPS Contractor Ltd as shown in the Resource Accounts in our Annual Report. We very much regret any confusion that our error may have caused.

The Department publishes an annual report each Autumn.

The report describes our aim and objectives and our values, the impact of our activities and how we performed in key areas. It also covers caring for staff, financial management and IT developments.
