Tax boost for research - spinout companies
On the 2 December 2004 the Chancellor in his Pre-Budget Report confirmed a measure to remove a tax barrier to researchers developing intellectual property through spinout companies created with universities and other research institutions. Further to this confirmation the Inland Revenue has now published draft legislation and Explanatory Notes which give details of how the new measure will work. A News Release has also been published.
