Avoid late-filing penalty
for your 2007-08 Employer Annual Return
The 19 May deadline for your 2007-08 Employer Annual Return (P14s and P35) has now passed. If you still haven’t filed your Return, you must do so as soon as possible to avoid being charged a late filing penalty.
You will be charged a penalty if we haven’t received and accepted your full Return either online by midnight on Monday 26 May or when we open the post on Tuesday 27 May. So send your Return without delay, or contact your HMRC office to tell us if you think a Return isn’t due.
If you have fewer than 50 employees you will still be entitled to £100 tax-free from us if you file your Return online, even though the deadline has now passed. If you have 50 or more employees, filing online is compulsory. Please see payeonline for everything you need to know about sending your Return online.
