Will HMRC investigate me because I have sent in a contract for their opinion?
Cases are selected for compliance reviews using a number of criteria. Where HMRC has given an opinion that a contract is within IR35, however the intermediary does not apply the legislation to the contract, this factor will be included in the risk assessment process.
